It took 4 walls, a washing machine, and a fridge between me and the adapter to begin to have connection issues, while other adapters failed after just 3 walls

I bought these to replace my Asus BT400 usb dongle. With this device having Bluetooth 5.1 and an advertised distance of at least 30 meters (says up to 100 meters on the packaging) I hoped this would at least let me keep a connection with my Apple Airpods into the next room. But at soon as I walk more then 5 meters, the connections starts to break up, and walking further just disconnects them completely.
Too bad. Works fine at close distance, but do not expect anywhere more then 4 meters.

Works fine, range is alright. Sound quality is better than the cheaper Blutooth USB I was using before. However, it is using LMP 9.25805 which is Blutooth 5.

Gave 4 stars because not plug n play or automatic? Comes with mini cd to load drivers, must find exe. file on cd to get to load, not automatic execute. Range considerably less with obstructions like walls, floors in typical house. Unobstructed range high but how often does that situation come about. Started loosing signal about 50 ft. away in house. Overall – worth the price if you are at lease slightly computer savvy like me.

Update: after the latest Win 11 update, the driver does not work. Cannot be used with Win 11 any further.
By now, I’ve bought 3 adapters. First one for an old desktop that did not have Bluetooth. The quality was good enough, and the range was much better than I had with built-in Bluetooth for other computers. Then, I got another one for a laptop replacing the built-in Bluetooth. Again, the range is much longer, and it works much better with headsets that had some problems with the original laptop Bluetooth. Now, I’ve got the third one for another laptop, and that’s the same -longer range and more stable. Highly recommend.

I bought this so I could use my Bluetooth headphones with my (Win 10) PC. It works well and I can use the headphones over quite a wide area. My PC is in my bedroom and I can use my headphones over most of my house. When I’m downstairs in the kitchen over the opposite side of my house the audio breaks up a little but that’s all.

Easy to install, win11 auto setup, now i can use bluetooth earbuds for gaming! Admittedly i use dongles for keyboard and mouse so lots of clashes with basic bt dongle so this solves previous issues. Worth the money if u cant add pcie or m.2 devices.👍

Needed to add Bluetooth 4.0 BLE to an old desktop PC running Home Assistant v7.4 (Linux). Plugged in, automatically detected (no additional software needed) and appears to be working fine.

I had several bluetooth dongles before and the connection was not stable. After getting this long range adapter, all my connectivity problems went away. The connection remains strong and stable. No disconnections any more. Very happy with this purchase.
