purchased this to attach to a full face snorkel mask for when I go on holiday in the sea. It’s great that it’s waterproof and comes in its own tightly secured plastic casing to prevent the water getting in.
It’s nice and easy to use without lots of confusing buttons or menus to scroll through. It even came with some charge already in it so I could try it straight away!
I didn’t take into account that it doesn’t come with a memory card but luckily they’re relatively cheap and easy to get hold of just make sure you get one with lots of memory as you’ll likely record more videos than take pictures.
The picture quality looks decent although I haven’t yet uploaded them onto a computer with a bigger screen. I’m not expecting the quality to be absolutely amazing, I’ll be happy to just be able to look back at what I saw on my holiday in the sea.
It also comes with all sorts of different attachments, mainly for if you cycle so it can go on a helmet or the handle bars but it does have extra mounts and sticky pads so it can go most anywhere!
It’s great that there are now these cheaper versions of the go pro because it means we can more affordably use them in these kinds of situations without worrying about spending a fortune and it potentially getting lost/breaking.
Very happy with my purchase and would recommend

Impressive recording quality from a device that can be considered a toy
The underwater case is exceptional and no leaks
Decent battery life
Takes generic micro SD cards for recordings and pics
Has standard fittings for tipods and accessories
Costs about the same as a bottle of vodka
The not so good:
Unintuitive transport controls
Uses Micro USB in an era when everyone uses USB C
Camera needs to be removed from waterproof housing completely to be charged
The bad:
Poor build quality – one of the buttons has stopped working altogether within the year
Unreliable – the device froze during use on our holiday and could not reset until the battery was exhausted
No audio at all on recordings with the under water case – learned this the hard way!
Unfortunately as the small number of bad points are significant in nature, they massively outweigh the positives and this device should be avoided! It does however make a decent present for someone you don’t particularly like 😀

This item is superb for the price; it does a lot. It has two resolutions: 1080p and 720p; decent sound quality and wide angle lens to pick up great shots. The only down side (and I don’t know how others are claiming it lasts all day) is the battery it lasts a good 45 minutes on 1080p and nearly 2 hours on 720p.
It also is overly bright, which means in sunny conditions you get washout shots and the manual isn’t too detailed just basic information on use but it isn’t hard to figure out.
It comes with a whole host of brackets for bicycle or helmet. I mainly use it for my bicycle. It also comes in a waterproof case – which works brilliantly for rainy days. The brackets are weak though they constantly become loose when cycling it tilts up if you ride hard or bump on roads etc;
It has something that surprised me a motion camera capability.
Summary: very happy for the purpose I require it for to film short commutes.

Okay, there are all these people complaining about a £19.99 camera and saying the quality is “poor”. Yes there are some pros and cons to this but there are some pros and cons in the more expensive things… I have purchased this camera, the shipping was great. The camera came in less than a week! It has good quality boxing and inside it is neately layed out in the waterproof case! It came about half charged (fully charge before use as the batterly will last longer in the future) so the first thing i did was turn the camera and fiddle around with the settings! So simple but such a vast amount of settings! I turned the exposure up a bit (and dont forget you can edit videos and images off you computer, smartphone, tablet ect… to get a sharp image.) And started to record (this doesnt come with a micro sd so luckly i had purchased one the day before…16gb micro sd) i found that the recording is much better with good lighting (same with any camera) but the lighting makes the picture sharp and really good…and dont forget its £19.99!!! And it comes with a great amount of accessories, head straps, bike mount, tripod mount, selfie stick mount, angled mounts, sticky mounts…the list goes on and on! I am really impressed with the camera and i shall carry on using it…i recomend it…just use it on sunny days or grey brighter days…but there is a way to fix it, just turn the exposure up (setting: EV is exposure) i put mine on 1/3 or 2/3…see how it is.

Definitely NOT 1080p resolution in video mode. It seems, in my opinion, to be a badly executed extrapolated 720p. On the 12M setting for photos, when viewing the resultant images on my PC, the pictures appear grainy and pixelated, even with a 20 per cent zoom. The Image Stabilisation in video mode while mounted on the handlebar of my bicycle is shaky and the images are not particularly clear. On a flat and well surfaced road, the image stabilisation was so bad, you couldn’t even get a clear picture of the registration plate of the car that was 10 feet in front of me. Remember that you have to remove the memory card from the unit and insert it into a card reader to play back video or view photos on your desktop computer, you can’t view them directly from the camera to PC. The 2 inch screen of the camera makes it difficult for me to play back on the camera, and I need to view the captures on a desktop PC. The instructions clearly state that you have to remove the memory card to do this, which is a PITA. On a final note, after three bike rides and removing the card to view the resultant playback, the card will no longer eject from the relevant slot in the camera, it’s jammed solid in there. I tried using a popsicle stick to push the card and get it to eject, but now the darned thing just goes further into the slot and no longer registers as being present by the camera. I had this camera for 3 days and was not happy with it’s performance at all. As the memory card will no longer eject or even register as being present in the camera, I re boxed everything and now it’s a permanent fixture in the local land fill site.

Good alternative to a disposable camera which are really expensive nowadays, and no need to develop film! We used it on a three day school trip. Battery lasted. Don’t expect crystal clear photos, they do turn out slightly grainy. However, faces and landscapes can be clearly seen. Advantage of this camera is the plastic waterproof case, which is great for a school trip. It can do videos or just still photos. Good buy.
